Ruth Milne
Artistic Director
Ruth is an actor, facilitator and producer with over ten years professional experience. She trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she gained a B.A(hons) in Acting. Her acting credits include work with companies such as The BBC, ITV, The Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester,The Lyric Hammersmith, The Riverside Studios, The Finborough Theatre, The Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, Sigma Films, Black Camel Productions, The Birmingham Repertory Theatre and The National Theatre of Scotland. She is represented by BMA Artists.
Ruth’s facilitation and teaching experience includes work with Clean Break, Crisis, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Safe Ground, The Unicorn Theatre, The Barbican and Geese Theatre Company where she was a full time theatre practitioner. Ruth has facilitated drama session and devised original work in settings including category A-D prisons, mental health secure units, pupil referral units, women centres and as part of probation services.
Ruth is a member of acclaimed Geese Theatre Company who work with drama in secure settings. She is also the Creative Arts Manager at Single Homeless Project.
Ruby Wight
Brand Designer
Ruby is a designer and art director specialising in branding in the arts. Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art, she has worked in London and Los Angeles for clients including Nike and The Barbican. Ruby currently works for London studio Accept & Proceed.
Lucy Hollis
Artistic Director
Lucy Hollis graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2012 with a B.A(hons) in Acting. She went on to spend a year as Resident Actor at The Citizens Theatre, Glasgow and appeared in television series Outlander.
In August 2014, she founded Etch with Ruth Milne. Lucy produced Squint Theatre Company's 2015 production of MOLLY at Pleasance, Edinburgh. Further producing credits include ‘Boy Meet’s Girl’ (Yard Theatre).
Debbie Hannan
Resident Director
Debbie was appointed as incoming Co-Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre in 2019 and has been unable to take up the role due to Covid-19. They hope to take up the role in 2021.
